We make crepes on Chandeleur
Me, I like them with sugar and butter
We make crepes on Chandeleur
When we make crepes, it’s a treat (2x)

Every year on February 2nd
It’s a culinary tradition
A dish that is eaten sweet or salty
It is the crepe that I want to tell you about

To make the batter, we have to mix
Flour, eggs and milk
Sugar, butter, salt, then mix well
And let everything stand for one hour

To cook a crepe, you will be helped
By a grown-up so that you don’t burn yourself
We pour the batter into a lightly oiled frying pan
We cook the two sides and finally it’s ready
